User Friendly Treadmills – Designed with the Customer in Mind

Manufacturers are always trying to design user friendly treadmills that not only meet the customers needs but are easy to use with simple controls and programming. Whether it is the heart rate monitor that you plug in and monitor your pulse rate or the program that you select to give users that extra hard workout, users want a treadmill console that is simple to use and program. Simple straightforward user friendly treadmill control systems can make the difference regarding how often users will workout on their treadmills.

Most treadmills have basic features which monitor time elapsed, distance travelled and calories burned. In addition they may have a heart rate monitor that will show the current heart rate during the users workout. Friendlier treadmills that have many different programs built in to them to provide users with various workouts and challenges are designed to make the treadmills easy to use. Users want to be able to easily select the program level without a long complicated set of entries to input to their treadmill and then begin their workout.

Commercial treadmills available in most gyms require the user to enter their age and weight before selecting their program. The program can be difficult or easy and most treadmills have a user friendly sequence of entries that the machine will walk you through to select the right program for you. Regardless of whether you are choosing a standard program or a difficult program, the user-friendly system will ask you for the difficulty level that you want. Depending on how you feel that day you can select a difficult challenging workout or an easy program to give you a bit of a break.
